How to Use CloudBox: Complete Step-by-Step Guide

CloudBox is your family's secure digital home for storing, sharing, and streaming files across all devices. This comprehensive guide will walk you through every feature step by step.

Getting Started - Create Your Account

  1. Visit CloudBox: Go to the CloudBox homepage and click "Get Started" or "Sign Up"
  2. Fill Registration Form: Enter your full name, email address, and create a strong password (minimum 6 characters)
  3. Verify: Click "Create Account" button
  4. Success! You'll be automatically logged in and redirected to your dashboard
  5. Free Storage: You start with 5GB of free storage immediately

Uploading Your First File

  1. Click Upload Button: On your dashboard, click the blue "Upload File" button in the top right
  2. Select File: Choose any file from your computer (documents, photos, videos up to 500MB)
  3. Wait for Upload: You'll see a progress indicator. Don't close the page until upload completes
  4. Success Message: Once uploaded, you'll see "File uploaded successfully!" message
  5. View File: Your file now appears in the grid view on your dashboard

💡 Pro Tip: Videos (MP4, MOV, MKV) are automatically detected and can be streamed directly without downloading!

Uploading and Streaming Videos

  1. Upload Video: Click "Upload File" and select a video file (MP4, MOV, MKV - max 500MB)
  2. Filter Videos: Click the "Videos" filter button to see only your video files
  3. Click to Preview: Click on any video card to open the details panel
  4. Stream: Video files can be streamed directly in your browser with full player controls
  5. Download: Or click "Download" button to save the video to your device

Creating Instant Share Links

  1. Select File: Click on any file to open the details panel on the right
  2. Click "Instant Share": Click the green "Instant Share" button
  3. Configure Settings:
    • • Select expiry time (1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or no expiry)
    • • Optionally add password protection
    • • Set download limit if needed
    • • For videos: Enable "Stream Only" to prevent downloads
  4. Generate Link: Click "Generate Instant Share Link" button
  5. Share: You'll see:
    • • QR Code (scan with phone camera)
    • • Copy Link button
    • • Share via WhatsApp button
    • • Share via Email button

Sharing with Family Members

  1. Select File: Click on the file you want to share
  2. Click "Share with User": Click the "Share with User" button
  3. Enter Email: Type the email address of your family member (they must have a CloudBox account)
  4. Share: Click "Share" button
  5. Access: The recipient can now view the file in their "Shared with me" section

Managing Your Share Links

  1. View All Links: Click "Instant Share Links" in the left sidebar
  2. See Link Details: View file name, downloads/views count, expiry time
  3. Copy Link: Click the copy icon to copy the link again
  4. Revoke Access: Click "Revoke" button to immediately disable a share link
  5. Track Activity: See how many times your file was downloaded or viewed

Additional Features

  • Search Files: Use the search bar at the top to quickly find files by name
  • Filter Files: Use "All Files", "Videos", or "Images" filters to organize your content
  • Delete Files: Click on a file and click "Delete" button (you can recover from trash)
  • Check Storage: View your storage usage in the left sidebar
  • Upgrade: Click "Upgrade to Premium" for unlimited storage at ₹99/month
